this time, bilangan hantaran yang dah dipersetujui adalah 9 berbalas 11.. harap2 my mind is fixed and firm and tak goyang supaya bilangan tu tak dinaikkan. last time, untuk engagement, janji mula2 5 berbalas 7 tapi banyak pulak barang nak kasi, sendiri naikkan jadi 7 berbalas 9..

so, hantaran from me, out of 11 barang hantaran:
::hanya 3 barang baru beli (sempena sale hujung tahun & christmas sale @sogo)
::2 barang last minit - memang kena beli last minute (sireh junjung sebab fresh flower & satu lagi, lagi lambat beli barangnya lagi rendah harga)
::3 barang yang mesti kena beli sementara sale masih ada (sale habis 2january!!)
::3 barang makanan yang akan dibeli kemudian (tapi sampai skrg belum decide nak kasi apa)

anyone knows any videographer that offers very low/reasonable price but yet oke/good in quality?, if someone does, please let me know via comment in this blog, fb, sms or call or any other way..i need one for the wedding..

OMG..i don't have much time left.

three months before the wedding, i have taken care of the big big things, like pelamin, baju, caterer, canopy, photographer, make-up..but i couldn't care less about the small small things like the door gift, the theme for hantaran, barang hantaran etc. etc.

three months = 12 saturdays and 12 sundays.
since december is closing so soon, i have filled my January planner with plans..see below

the yellow ones are confirmed events while the pink one is a "maybe-i-will-attend" events. i initiated the tioman plan recently, but i was forgetting the fact that my close cousin is getting married on the same weekend.OMG. i don't want to disappoint my beautiful friends by removing the event to any other date that they may not be free. plus, do i have other dates? let's check out my February planner.
macam free kan? but bear in mind ada 4 saturdays & 4 sundays only on february..and i am organizing two weddings!!! March?the pink highlighted boxes are my confirmed wedding dates.!.. march, i have 3saturdays& 3sundays.

if you count the amount of weeks i have left (only FREE weeks, not counting the unFREE ones), i have only 7saturdays&7sundays left. suntuk!!

all the materials were bought from kedai2 in Jalan TAR and Nilai3.

i did it on my own..! yeahh..:-)

of course with the help of my design critiques, the mum&the sisters.

all flowers were artificial, consisted of roses and hydrangeas, except for sireh junjung, i used fresh flowers, pink carnations, daisies and a bunch of baby's breath.

sireh junjung was prepared by lin and i. the basic idea was taken from majalah Pesona Pengantin Disember 2010 but it turned out to be totally different and i love it more this way.

cincin and watch. yes, wan also has an engagement ring. it's kinda cool, plus his "relationship ring" needed to be replaced.

the watch was a last minute gift that wan and i bought and we decided to put it on the dulang.

Now i'm planning on the next hantarans' colour, the flowers and the ornaments...

p/s engagement/wedding event is no fun without decorating your own hantaran.

cincin yg tercantik itu sama ada terlalu kecil, saiz 8 (muat jari kelingking) atau 13 (longgar walaupun di jari telunjuk) sahaja..mcm mana? my size is 9..or 10 feels better (just in case jariku menggemuk kemudian) since da suka, beli jugak la yg saiz 13. kena la tinggal di kedai..potong! katanya 2 minggu!!

banyak lagi perkara yang belum selesai, oleh yang demikian esok (rabu) dah start cuti :-)

bukan apa, cuti banyak lagi, simpan banyak2 pun tak guna jugak sbb status masih contract officer, belum permanent, nanti bila da permanent, cuti semua burn.

n bukan apa, saja nak prepare semua awl2, supaya tak kelam kabut kemudian hari. n tak menyesal nanti. sekali seumur hidup, kan? :-)

memandangkan nak kenduri, kami pun membuat operasi mengemas bilik bawah besar-besaran semalam..penatnya!

hasilnya, banyak buku2 and notes masa di law school sudah dibuang, daripada asalnya dulu 7 kotak, tinggal 3!! bilik bawah dah bersih, langsir da tukar, cun! byk barang lama2 yang dijumpai, contoh, result periksa masa kat mrsm yang dipos kepada ayah, surat dpd jpj lulus lesen kereta, gambar2 lama dll.

next, bilik sendiri yang bersepah dgn sampah sarap hasil kerja menghias dulang hantaran dalam bilik.

an invitation and what i hope from it

i hope that i have not miss inviting the people that i should have invited.
i hope someone can alert me if i have missed a few.

i hope that people will understand that the ceremony will only be a small one.
i hope they know how sorry i am for not being able to invite all. (i'm very very sorry!! seriously i am..i will definitely invite everyone to the wedding soon, i promise!)

akhirnya setelah berpusing2 cari kasut untuk wan, smlm dah pun selamat dibeli..terima kasih jusco sale, kehadiran mu begitu membantu! :-)

semalam wan dah letak deposit untuk butik pengantin bagi majlis bertandang. alhamdulillah tarikh dah reserve, baju dah reserve, just gaun yg dah pilih haritu wan tak reserve je siap2 semalam..takpelah..next time datang bangi, nak pegi chop siap2.

nasib baik diri sendiri kurang cerewet. kalau tidak takkan sempat nak organize wedding dalam masa sesingkat ni. tapi kat butik tu memang baju baru banyak n cantik2 sgt. senang nak pilih. kalau nak theme kaler putih lagi byk pilihan kat mana2. eiiiyy geram tgk baju putih. tapi tema bukan putih.

anyways, apa la da jadi dekat baju sanding yg tengah tempah kt sg buloh tu? tak sabar nak tgk!!

mana sempat macam ni?

hantaran baru siap buat 2..(technically 1 setengah), setiap weekend kenduri kahwen yang nak attend berderet. bila nak siapkan hantaran sendiri ni?

bila tanya wan, "weekdays" kata dia..tapi mcm mana nak buat weekdays? hari2 balik kerja, penat, tido je dr petang smpai esk pg.. dlm 5 weekdays seminggu, 2 hari jumpa wan (pun strictly utk urusan kahwin) kalau jumpa wan kol 9pm baru balik rumah. sampai2 kepenatan, tido lagi..

jadi bila nya nak buat???

cuma timing dia mmg irritating!! dah lah pada asalnya janji 30 Oktober da siap, kita kasi dia extension smpai 20 November, baru siap. Then, dah try tp tak sedap pakai kena la alter. janji siap alter 27nov, tapi 28nov baru siap...bila dia dah siapkan, dia push kita suruh amek hari tu jugak, jgn kita lambat..amboi org tua ni,, dia lambat bukan maen lama sebulan!!!!! kita dia suro dtg amek haritu jugak (mmg takde masalah pun kami nk ambil hari tu, tp ni soal prinsip)

lega apabila tak perlu berurusan lagi dgn dia. dengan ini, pakcik tersebut secara officialnya di BANNED..!

kalau siapa nak pegi tempah baju kat pasar rakyat medan mara, yg byk tailor2 berderet ni, bg tailor lelaki make sure u don't go find pakcik ni..kalau tailor tu pangkat pakcik2, lupakan aja..tp kalau pangkat abg2 je, attitude mereka oke, kerja mereka pun sgt oke. tp sila hantar awal2 sbb ada tendency dorg ni siapkan baju lewat at least seminggu dari tarikh yg dia janji mula2.

i think it's a lot better to take baju n pelamin from the same person. (i think everybody knows that already, except for me)
reasons?

1. cheaper with package price

2. easier to manage, after pelamin has been set up, i can directly pay everything (the service as a whole) to one person

3. easier to miss & match the pelamin and the theme because the pelamin person will know exactly how my baju looks like and he/she can advise me on that too. Their advise is "highly persuasive" (so the lawyers describe it), since they have been involved in this field a lot..u can choose whether to follow or not, or mere acknowledging is fine too.

deposit untuk butik pengantin 2

mission: finding the best butik pengantin for majlis bertandang at wan's.

malam tadi, selepas bersusah payah masuk ke tempat asing yg tak pernah teringat nak masuk pun, kami (wan&win) berjaya sampai ke satu butik pengantin di puncak jalil (area belakang astro, dkt2 dgn stadium bukit jalil tu).. setelah berbincang, kami suka dgn pelaminnya. kakak owner butik pun bukan main friendly dan pandai persuade kami (tapi sebenarnya, sebelum dtg pun, we have been persuaded through their fb n fotopages, we already judged their work).

so bincang punya bincang, kami puas hati dengan pelaminnya, tapi kami terlambat sikit, tak dpt tempah baju kat dia. tailor dia kata da penuh!.. baju yang da siap pun tak ada warna theme kami.

jadi macam mana? kenalah carik baju kat tempat lain. kos akan meningkat la sebab tak ambil pakej. tapi bila hati da suka, terpaksalah.

deposit belum taruk lagi. within 2 days, we'll put the deposit,..kot?? hehe

kenapa tiba-tiba terasa susah nak buat hiasan dulang hantaran ni?..

si tailor gila!

went to medan mara today, should have picked up wan's baju melayu, but then the tailor didn't do well..!! the baju melayu becomes too big that made wan seemed bigger horizontally..it's oke, although we already gave him 20days extension, and although he made such a gigantic baju melayu, it's oke.
but it's not oke when we complained and asked him to alter the baju melayu, he ticked off..he raised his voice (a bit) to me telling me that i should have called him to the changing room when wan was trying the baju melayu so that he'll know how much to cut! dah la bila wan on the way ke changing room he literally ordered me to follow wan..hamboi, main suro2 pastu tinggi2 suara.haih..lawan tokey nampak?? tu lah some melayu kalau bisnes, customer tak nak jaga. tak dpt recommendation la ngok...hangin tak pasal2 org tua ni..menopause kot? hahaha..
man, that wasn't cool at all..!!! so i gave him until saturday to finish altering, and of course, revenge is coming ur way, kau tunggu yo lah..!!

by the way, we are supposed to stop by masjid negara to pick up the certificate of kursus kahwin that we attended last week, but seriously, we forgot, until it was too late (as in: da malam, org kursus kahwin tu da balik)..hmm..

syukur alhamdulillah, i (i mean "we", wan and i) have finished it..yeaahhhh!!! i am relieved.

my comments are as follows:

- all of the lecturers were interesting, knowledgeable and well experienced. they were NOT some cliche-boring-old-malay-people that can put u to sleep., seriously, provided that u were really listening.

- the food is just fine. i did not have any complaint whatsoever.

one advice:

for those of u who haven't attend this course, u better plan to attend within this month or next because they (orang pejabat agama) said that they want to revise the syllabus that could cause the course to be prolonged. previously it was only a one-day course, now it is a two-day course, maybe next year, the course will be prolonged to three or four days..so u people out there, think about it, it's a one time thing, the certificate is going to be valid forever, so even though u are not planning to get married within this year or next, it wouldn't hurt if u could attend it now.!

kursus kahwin - when saturday sessions are over,

i'm attending kursus kahwin @ masjid negara this week. interesting and informative, but the hours are quite long. the lecturers so far (for saturday sessions) were interesting, knowledgeable and well experienced. can't wait to attend tomorrow's sessions (and get it over with). here are the details that i would want to share:

malam tadi, akhirnya dah letak pun deposit untuk tujuan ni sebanyak 20% bagi tarikh di-block-kan oleh butik tersebut. lega rasanya. sebab perkara ni antara perkara besar yang kena diuruskan cepat2 takut butik tu dah tak available pada wedding date nanti. leganya, alhamdulillah.

next mission: letak deposit untuk caterer wan dan butik pengantin wan, these should be done within this week or next week. penat untuk handle both sides of the wedding with wan's support of course, tapi yang best-nya ialah, i get to choose twice for everything.yey!

mungkin ada beberapa benda lain yang kecil2 yang akan dibeli dalam masa dua tiga hari ni menjadikan kos sebenar mencecah RM250 sahaja.

lebih kurang RM28 setiap dulang. murah kan? hasilnya nampak macam at least RM50 setiap dulang. next time untuk hantaran nikah, nak guna bakul besi gantikan polistrin. kos lagi mahal tapi mesti lagi cantik. eihhhh tak sabarnya. warna untuk hantaran nikah pun da pilih.yeyy!

nightmare.

due to the heavy thinking about the wedding and the preparation and the engagement, i had a nightmare about it last night.

i dreamed that it was my engagement day, the make-up person arrived late. she arrived exactly at the same time wan's family arrived. so she quickly did her job. By the time she's done, i looked into the mirror and see hideousness of her work that made me cry there and then. my tears ruined my make-up.

by the way, she finished doing my make-up two hours after wan's family finished their conversation. they had even finished their food. then when i was ready, with my already hideous make-up which had been ruined by my tears, wan's mum and sister came upstairs into my room and sarung cincin.

and then i woke up this morning with tears all over my face, few seconds later wan gave me a wake up call like he always does and right away i told him the nightmare that i just had.
fuhhh..thank god it was only a nightmare.

tailor utk baju nikah.

Dekat medan mara ada banyak tailor. dlm banyak-banyak tailor dah pernah cuba hantar dekat 3 tailor je. tiga-tiga best tapi antara 3 ni, satu je yg mmg jahit baju pengantin. baju tunang pun hantar kat yang satu ni, dah siap dah pun. sedap pakai!!! dan taklah mahal sangat. since dah pernah puas hati, nanti nak tempah baju nikah, tempah je kat tempat yang sama.. haritu dah survey dekat wangsa maju/setiawangsa/setapak, banyak tailor baju pengantin, harga memang lebih kurang je. tapi since tak pernah try dengan tailor2 ni, takut pula nak testing-testing..baju nikah pula tu, harga kain pun dah nangis!!!!!

with a little support, i can stand up on my own.!!!

someone asked me, when i am going to get married, will i:

1. give my father rm30k (or any reasonable amount) and ask him to organize the event; or
2. ask him to organize, without even giving him the money.

my answer was: NEITHER!

i will not give my father the money and i will not ask him to organize the event for me because i will do it on my own. i will only ask for his support and tiny favours like finding me a jurunikah, invite all jemaah surau and some neighbours personally to the event, asking for free advice and things like that. he (that someone) has the idea that the children will only tell their father that they want to get married on certain date and expect the father to handle everything,.from ordering the food from the caterer, of course the father is expected to pay for it, the canopy etc. etc. to the small small things.

well, i choose to organize it on my own as i wish not to burden my father and mother with the preparation and all. it is enough for them to be there throughout the process, supporting me physically, emotionally, in terms of ideas and opinions and i don't expect financial support, seriously (not that i don't hope for it, i do). pardon me dear someone, don't assume that every "children" can't stand up on their own, because they can, but only when they want to.

persiapan?? OTW!

so far persiapan utk disember ni da makin siap..tinggal baju belum ambil, hantaran tengah gubah..selepas tu bley goyang kaki tunggu je tarikh tu sampai,,

pelik pulak rasanya..time utk prepare majlis tunang bukan main lama..padahal, masa utk prepare majlis sanding terpendek sangat pulak.sempat.sempat..insyaallah.

25!!

i always know that 25 is a significant number to me..

here is the good part: i am getting married during my 25 years of age!

the better part is: since wan and i are of the same age, wan's marrying age is also 25!! and

the best part is: my wedding day is going to be on one of the "25th" in 2011!!!

chocolate fountain!

should i get the chocolate fountain for my wedding?? i love it sooooo much..but it will cost me RM300 (RM350 if i confirm after the pameran pengantin tamat!..3 days from now)...

RM300 (or RM350) inclusive of:

1. the chocolate fountain itself;
2. 100 sticks of strawberry; and
3. 100 sticks of marshmellow.

but i forgot to ask the quantity of the chocolate..hmm.

on the fifth day of aidilfitri in 2010, wan brought his family to my family's house. at first we planned to let our families get to know each other during aidilfitri. but a few months before aidilfitri even started, wan and his family decided to have majlis merisik on one go. killing 2 birds with a stone, was the idea. i agreed.

wan and i went through tough times before aidilfitri. Although it was only majlis merisik, it was a big deal to me. but it went well. alhamdulillah.

i never had an engagement list or a wedding list before, so i quickly did one. here was my first list ever.!

for most people, they feel like having a wedding blog a few months after their engagement ceremony. my engagement ceremony is going to be on 18 December 2010, it has yet to come.
